Electrical - Providing Recessed Cans to Save Money

-For the longest time, I had let my electrician provide the recessed cans for my home remodeling and new home construction projects.  It was definitely more convenient than having to go to the home improvement store to pick them up myself.

However, in an effort to combat rising construction prices, I have decided to provide my own recessed cans.  My latest new construction job electrical cost just dropped to $10,800 from $13,200.  While I will still need to buy the cans, I know that they won't cost the $2,500 that I am saving!  It is more likely that they will cost about $1,000 max, which means that I will be saving $1,500.

I'll be providing the recessed cans from now on!

-By the way, I have always used 6 inch recessed cans in the past.  I have recently heard from a designer that 4 inch cans might be a nice touch, so I plan on trying them in a few rooms.
