Finding Contractor on Kudzu or Angie's List
-Recently, I've had some success finding a good contractor online. One of my primary resources is kudzu. Kudzu lists contractors by trade and allows people to write online reviews. If you're trying to find a contractor online, you might want to do a search for kudzu and see if they are set up in your area. I know Kudzu is active in Atlanta.
-Another way I've used to find a contractor online is to use a site called Angie's List. Angie's List requires a membership (free, I think), but it's very useful. Again, there are online reviews and I've found them to be spot on.
-Watch out for an online contractor reviewer who has only written one review. This may indicate that they are a friend or family member of the contractor on Kudzu or Angie's list.
-There are other online sites that allow reviews of contractors, and you can find them if you poke around. After finding but before hiring a contractor, I would definitely do an online google search of that contractor to see if there are any negative reviews floating around out there.
-After you find a good contractor, do them a favor and ask them if they'd like you to write an online review on Kudzu or Angie's List or some other site that they may know of. This may help you get a good deal or preferential treatment next time!
